Martha Gedney
Martha Ruth Gedney, 87 of Gladwin passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines.
She was born June 21, 1920 in Gladwin, daughter of Melanethon and Martha (Mattis) Reinhardt.
Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; reading the Bible on a daily basis; going for rides with friends and family; and helping with the nursery program at the Gladwin Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her children, Lavern (Karen) Gedney of Gladwin, John (Kathy) Gedney of Frannie, Wyoming, Elmer (Sue) Gedney of Franklinton, Louisiana, Paul (Sue) Gedney of Harrison, Darlene (Don) Ballard of Bridgeport, and Linda (Randy) Kalinowski of Beaverton; 13 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Alma Rau of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elwood Gedney in 1991; two daughters, Sarah and Judy; four sisters; and five brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 at Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Potter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Martha to the Gladwin Assembly of God Church Nursery Program.
