Robert Fryar
ROBERT FRYAR
Robert Fryar, 65, of Bloomfield Hils and 4740 Lancer Circle, Sugar Springs, died Monday, May 18, in Hospice of Southeastern Michigan after a long illness. Born in Spokane, Wash., Nov. 10, 1921, he moved to Oakland County 6 years ago from Wharton, N.J. Mr. Fryar was a retired nuclear physicist for Kerr-McGee Corp. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, VFW and Sugar Springs Men's Golf Association. Mr. Fryar was married to the former Carolyn Reed March 22, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Todd Phillips of Haddonfield, N.J.; one daughter, Alisa Lockwood of Yakima, Wash.; 2 sisters, Vesta High and Gladys Vanderford of Midford, Ore.; and 2 grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted by the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303 last Wednesday in the Butman Township Cemetery. .
