Marvin Fry
PVT. MARVIN A. FRY KILLED IN ACTION
Pvt. Marvin A. Fry, 20, son of Mrs. Ida Fry, of Tobacco township, who was reported missing; in action on January 4, has since been reported killed in action on that date in Luxembourgh. A graduate of Beaverton High School, class of 1944. Marvin was inducted in the army June 19, 1944 and completed his basic training at Camp Blanding, Florida. After a fifteen day furlough he returned to Camp George G. Meade, Maryland and then went overseas the last of November.
Pvt. Fry was born in Grout township on July 19, 1925, and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ida Fry; three brothers, Elmer of Bay City, Clarence and Melvin at home; five sisters; Mrs. Delmer Parker of Grout township, Mrs. Lloyd Brushaber of Tobacco township, Mrs. Seaman Smith of Bay City, Mrs. Kenneth Grice of Beaverton and Geraldine at home; and his grandmother, Mrs C. Marmeier, of Rhodes.
