Helen M. Fry

   Helen M. Fry, 81, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, June 17, 20003, at Tender Care Nursing Home-Clare, after a long illness. She was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County, Hazel was born Jan. 9, 1922 to Clayton & Hazel (Smith) McKimmy in Beaverton. After graduation from school she took a job in Detroit for the Defense Industry during WWII. Hazel married Clarence Fry on June 1, 1947 in Beaverton. She was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren.

   She is survived by her husband Clarence; son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Karen Fry of Flint; daughter and son-in-law, Ida and Roy Bates of Beaverton; grandchildren Michael Fry, Sarah Dennis, Jennifer Fry, Neil D. Fry and Rosemary Fry all of Flint; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Mildred King, Alice Mayer, Margaret Pietras, Iola Whitehead, June Havens and May Covey. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, John, Ron, Howard, Herbert and Milford; and sister Murielle.

   Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday noon until 9 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 48624, 989-435-9841. Funeral services will be held at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren in Beaverton on Friday, June 20, 2003 at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Glasscock officiating. Burial will take place in the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Beaverton Church of the Brethren-Building fund.
