Eugene Freeman Jr.
Eugene Freeman, Jr. of Beaverton passed away May 15, 2006 at the Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Eugene was born Oct. 29, 1921 to Eugene and Ruth (Robinson) Freeman, Sr. in Beaverton. As a lifetime resident of Gladwin County he was employed as an industrial painter at Dow Chemical in Midland and retired in 1982 after 31 years. Eugene was also an Army veteran, having served during World War II. He also attended Dale United Methodist Church in Beaverton.
Eugene was married August 21, 1943 in Beaverton to Irene (Murphy) Freeman who died in 1981. He is survived by two daughters, Arlene Edeler of Beaverton and Judy (Perry) Groomes of Laurel, Minn.; one son, Louis Freeman of Beaverton; his daughter four grandchildren; and four Greatgrandchildren.
Eugene was predeceased by his parents; wife; sisters, Ruey Blades and Rhoda Cole; and daughter-in-law Darlene.
Funeral Services for Eugene Freeman, Jr. will be Friday, May 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton. He will be buried in the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home.
