DALE FREEMAN


  Dale D. Freeman, 55, of 4893 S. Jones Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Friday, July 17, when he was electrocuted while repairing a water well in Isabella County. He was born in Midland Feb. 12, 1932, and attended schools there. Mr. Freeman served in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War. He was employed by Dow Chemical Co. for 10 years until becoming a well driller. Mr. Freeman was a member of the Allbright Shores F.O.E., the Midland V.F.W. Post 3651, the Estey Moose Lodge and the Sanford American Legion Post 443. Mr. Freeman and the former Delores Barshaw were married in September 1972, in Midland.

  Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Alan of California; 3 daughters, Pamela Hanely of California, Lori Royale of Houston, Texas, and Lesia Brown of Midland; his mother, Hazel Freeman of Midland; 3 step-sons, Dennis Barshaw of Beaverton, Bryan and Todd Barshaw of Mississippi; 3 step-daughters, Terri Walle of Colorado, Tami Brooks and Kim Thacker of Florida; 3 sisters, Rita Freeman and Billie Briggin of Midland and Ardath Chubb of Grayling; and 12 grandchildren.

  Services were held last Monday at 11 a.m. from the Ware-Smith-Woolever & Co. Funeral Home. The Rev. Father Joseph Schabel officiated and burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery. .
