Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
Carey Fox

   Carey Raymond Fox, 60, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at St. Mary’s in Saginaw following a courageous battle with diabetes and heart disease.

   He was born Dec. 16, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan to MaryDell (Smith) Fox and the late William Raymond Fox. Carey was united in marriage to Darla L. Reid on Nov. 19, 1996 in Reno, Nevada. Carey was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2235 Harrison and the Harrison Area Chamber of Commerce.

   He owned and operated Fox Wrecker Service and Fox Used Cars & Parts since 1962.

   Carey is survived by his wife, Darla; his daughter, Judy (Randy) Turner of Harrison; his sons, Robert (Theresa) Fox of Harrison, Mike (Mary) Fox of Midland, Rodger (Sandy) Fox of Harrison, and William Fox of Harrison; his step-son and fiancee, Logan Colter Sr. and Pam Prenger of Harrison; his step-daughter, Georgene LeTourneau of Harrison; his brother, James P. Fox of Harrison; five sisters, Kay (Bruce) Tyrrel of Houghton Lake, Vickie (James) Kelly of Houghton Lake, Connie Akridge of Fenton, Tina Fox of Ocala, Florida, and Tammy Cipolla of Seminole, Florida; and numerous grandchildren, Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

   Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 5 from Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison, with Rev. Bobbie Jean Weller officiating.

   Memorial contributions have been established in Carey’s name with the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231-4596 or American Diabetes Association, ADA Research Foundation, Attention Margaret J. Walker, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311 .
