Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Glen Foster

   Glen E. Foster, 78, of Gladwin passed away April 18, 2008 at MidMichigan Medical Center- Gladwin.

   He was born Jan. 25, 1930 to Orvil and Myrtle (Treece) Foster in Flint, Michigan. Glen married Ramona McCray June 3, 1959 in Gladwin.

   Glen was a laborer at Magline in Pinconning; he retired in 2000. He had lived in Gladwin County most of his life. He was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

   Surviving are his wife, Ramona Foster of Gladwin; three daughters, Jo Ann Foster of Gladwin, Cathy (Russell) Fruchey of Beaverton and Susan Foster of Gladwin; two sons, James (Toni) Foster of Gladwin and Rodney (Lisa) Foster of Gladwin; 13 grandchildren, Gregory, George, Geoff, Ashley, Stacie, Tracie, Rick, Alexandria, Adeysia, Jonah, Aynslie, Cassie and Colton; and his best friends, Tom and Sharon Kuerbitz. He was predeceased by his parents.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions will be used according to the family.
