Rev. Mr. Foster

REV. MR. FOSTER, PARENT OF THE EDITOR OF THE PAPER,
FALLS DEAD AT HIS HOME, ON THE 21
ST.

"In the midst of life we are in death, says the scripture, which saying is wonderfully applicable in teh merest case. Rev. Mr. Foster, pastor of the M. E. church at Freeland, Saginaw county, fell dead without a moment's warning in front of a drug store in the village of Freeland in the afternoon of Tuesday, the 21st inst., of disease of the heart. The deceased up to the time of his death was a robust, healthy man in the prime of life. The deceased was father of Eugene Foster, editor of this paper, who is prostrated with grief at this unexpected call of death of one so near and dear.
Mr. Foster has been called away to attend the inst sad rites of his dearly beloved parent, and for the time being the RECORD will be managed by Mr. Edward Kelly, of the Saginaw "Courier" office, who, under the circumstances asks the forbearance of the RECORD readers.
