Widow Of: WM Forman
WIDOW OF: WM. FORMAN
JOY AND SORROW COMMINGLED.
Married at the G.A.R. hall, DeWitt, by Rev. Thomas
Young, Joel Davison, of Gladwin County, to Mrs. Mary
F. Cline, of DeWitt. The Relief Corps and G. W.
Anderson post, G.A.R., made grand arrangements for the
wedding, the bride being a favorite of the G.A.R. and
W.R.C. The ball was beautifully decorated, and the
happy couple stood under an arch of bunting and
evergreens. The ceremony was witnessed by as jolly a
company as ever assembled, numbering about 100 guests.
The evening after the wedding the bride's mother,
the widow of Wm. Forman, was taken poorly, and death
occurred the 30th. She was 85 years old, and had been
an invalid seven years. Her husband was a veteran of
the war of 1812. Funeral was held at the Baptist
church, New Year's sermon by the Rev. Thomas Young.
They were residents of Michigan over 60 years.
