Rev. Ericus Emmanuel Foor
The Rev. Ericus Emmanuel Foor, 76, died Monday, April 8 in the Columbia City, Ind. hospital, where he had been a patient
since he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle on March 29. Born in Mapoleon, Ohio, August 8, 1897, he was the son of
Harley and Tillah E. Bickford Foor. He moved with parents to Gladwin when he was 10 years of age. He and the former Edna
Grace Robinson were married January 30, 1921. During World War I he served with the United States Army and in 1929, he went
to Fort Wayne, Ind., to attend Fort Wayne Bible College. A retired Baptist minister, he had lived in Columbia City for the
past 12 years and before that time in Rochester, Ind. The Rev. Foor had served a number of Pastorates in Indiana during his
lifetime, retiring in 1962.
Surviving are 1 son, Max; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Ruth) Yanuszewski; 2 brothers; Malphus and Lawrence of Gladwin; 2 sisters,
Mrs. Glenn (Susan) Gould of Gladwin, and Mrs. Clare (Phyllis) Nickless of Bay City; 3 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday and burial was in South Park Cemetery, Columbia City.
