Richard Fisher
Richard “Dick” Fisher, 82, of Beaverton passed away suddenly March 15, 2008 at his home. He was born in Saginaw on June 7, 1925 to Leroy and Audrey (Davis) Fisher.
He was employed as branch manager for Self-Serve Lumber in Saginaw. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. Dick had lived in Gladwin County since 1980, previously residing in Saginaw. He was a member of Albright Shores Eagles Aerie 3655 and American Legion Post in Sanford.
Dick married Lillie J. Laney on April 2, 1960 in Reno, Nevada.
He is survived by his daughter, Sue (Dan) Shook of Hope; sisters, Avis (Wes) Wiechmann of Burt and Lorna Gump of Ohio; special friend, Nancy Queen of Beaverton; three grandchildren, Kris, Holly and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Collin, Kayla and Lea; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters and two brothers. Memorial contributions can be made to Albright Shores Eagles Aerie 3655 Memorial Fund.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 1 p.m., with a dinner to follow service. According to the wishes of the family cremation will take place. Arrangements were made by Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.
