ILLNESS FATAL TO SUPERVISER
SERVICES FRIDAY FOR NORMAN FINKBEINER, CLEMENT SUPERVISOR
Funeral services for Norman W. Finkbeiner, 55, Clement township supervisor will be
held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. John Scott,
of the Gladwin Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in Highland cemetery.
Mr. Finkbeiner passed away at the Tolfree Memorial hospital in West Branch Tuesday morning
after an illness of six months.
He was born in Sebawaing on February 8, 1893, and was a veteran of World War I, serving
as a corporal in the M.T.C. In November, 1939, he was married to Mrs. Emma Newell in Detroit,
and they came to Gladwin county eight years ago.
Surviving are his wife; and children, Normagean, John, Norman and Carolann, at home; George
and Robert in Detroit; a foster-son, Harold Brown, of Detroit; one brother, Richard Finkbeiner,
of Detroit; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Stauffer, of Elkton. Members of the Board of Supervisors
will act as pallbearers.
