FORMER BEAVERTON RESIDENT DIES

   Mrs. Laura E. Fike, 77, of Saginaw and formerly of Beaverton, died early this morning, Wednesday, in St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw. Born on April 10, 1890, in Sidney, Ohio, she lived in Beaverton several years before moving to Saginaw County in 1946. The former Laura Castle, she was married to Ira Fike, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Fike was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren.

   Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Williams, of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Jessie Bender, Mrs. Ida Shoup and Mrs. Colleen Cech, all of Saginaw; two sons, Joseph and Clarence, of Saginaw; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Rites will be held Friday at 12 noon from the Case Chapel, Saginaw. The Rev. Wesley Wibley will officiate and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery, Beaverton.
