Ira Fike
IRA FIKE BURIED IN DALE CEMETERY
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, by Rev. E. S. Hollinger, for Ira Fike, who died at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Bender in Saginaw, Sunday, February 9. Burial was made the Dale Cemetery. Mr. Fike was born March
12, 1877, in West Virginia and moved to Michigan with his parents when he was 12 years old. He married Miss Laura Castle and
in 1910 they moved near Beaverton on a farm in Beaverton township, and made their home here until April 1946, when they moved
to Saginaw.
Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Elmer and Clarence both of Saginaw; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Bender, Mrs. Ida
Shoup and Mrs. Myrtle Williams, all of Saginaw. There was also a foster daughter, Miss Coleen Roback, who has lived with the
Fikes since she was two days old. There are three brothers, Job and Jasper of Blissfield, and William of Coleman; one sister,
Mrs. Lorenca Stuart of Blissfield; also seven grandchildren.
