Charles Fetterolf
Charles E. Fetterolf, 80, of 65 W. Howard Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, July 27, at his home after a long illness. Born in
Edenborough, Penn., July 1, 1906, he had spent most of his life in Gladwin and Midland counties. Mr. Fettorolf worked at
Markle's Grocery from 1925 to 1936 and owned Fetterolf's Grocery in Winegars from 1935 to 1941 and in Midland from 1936 to
1947. He retired i 1966 after 27 years as a foreman i the Machine Shop at Dow Chemical Co. He was a member of the Seventh Day
Adventist Church of Midland.
Mr. Fetterolf and the former Thelma Cochran were married May 22, 1927, in Gladwin. Besides his wife, he is survived by 4
sons, Garold of Edenville, C. Doyle and Lloyd of Beaverton and Richard of New Port Richey, Fla.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Goldie
Ballard, Mrs. Maude Schuler and Mrs. Grace Hanson of Gladwin; 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A daughter,
Eleanor Lashuay, preceded him in death May 8, 1982.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Pastor Brian Stevenson will officiate
and burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.
