Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Linda Farnum

   Linda Mae Farnum, 66, of Falmouth passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Cadillac Mercy Hospital unexpectedly following a stroke.

   She was born in Lexington on Jan. 22, 1941 to William and Lola (Watson) Haskin She married Robert Farnum on Oct. 21, 1972 in Sandusky; he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1995.

   Linda was very giving and put her children and grandchildren before herself. She was a Job’s Daughter and enjoyed playing cards, watching sports and reality TV. She was raised in Sandusky and had lived in Highland. In 1977, she and her husband moved to Marion and after her husband’s death she moved in with her daughter near Falmouth.

   Surviving are her mother, Lola Haskin of Sandusky; five children, Shelby (Steve) Jessup of Beaverton, Vicky (Gary) Graber of Manton, Scott (Sheila) Farnum of Oscoda, Rebecca (Kent) Reinink of Falmouth, and Bobbi (Aaron) Sims of Reed City; several grandchildren, Laura and Steve Jessup, Andrea Hockridge, Geoffrey Major, Ashley, Katelyn and Michael Scott, Gavin and Brandon Reinink, Anakin and Alayna Sims; several great-grandchildren, Michael, Robert and Sharlene Hockridge, Gabreilla Williams and Allison Williams; three sisters, Shirley (Jim) Simpson of Sandusky, Margie (John) Anton of Oscoda, Kathy (Jack) Stringer of Sandusky; one brother, Robert (Lorna) Haskin of Sandusky; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William Haskin.

   Services were Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain with Rev. Duane J. Timmermans and Rev. Dave Sterk.

   Memorials contributions may be made to the family.

   Burial was in Ridge Cemetery.
