GLENN ENTREKIN DIES ON HUNTING TRIP


  Glenn Earl Entrekin, 65, a resident of Gladwin County for most of his life, died suddenly Saturday morning from a heart attack suffered three miles north of Gladwin. He was driving north on M-18 for the opening of deer hunting when stricken.

  He was born on April 1, 1893 in Breckenridge. Mr. Entrekin was retired from the Dow Chemical Co. plant in Midland a few months ago. He had also spent 16 years with the Conservation department. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Entrekin was a member of the VFW post in Gladwin and of the World War I Veterans Clare-Isabella Barracks at Clare. He was married to the former Miss Laura Foote, in Washington D. C., on Nov. 2, 1928.

  Survivors include his wife, Laura; one daughter Mrs. Eva Letson, of Gladwin; one grandson; three brothers, Velma and Carl, of Flint and Owen, of Gladwin; and one sister Miss Iva Entrekin, of Gladwin. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Alfred W. Saulsbury officiating. Burial was in Butman cemetery.
