Alfred Emery
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, at 2 p.m., for Alfred Emery at the Rogers & Neely undertaking rooms and at the Grout town schoolhouse, district No. 1, with Rev. Charles H. Woods in charge. Burial was at the Grout town cemetery.
Emery, who was known in his township as the old time resident, was taken with a stroke early in the day, and died at 11 p.m., at the home of his nephew, Albert Parker, where he made his home.
He was born November 8, 1857, at Chatham, Ont., and had been a resident of the county 60 years. He was unmarried.
