Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Lana Edick

   Lana Edick, 63, passed away March 9, 2007 at her home in Gladwin surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born Jan. 24, 1944 to Basil and Geraldine (Fiser) Sheets in Gladwin.
In addition to being a homemaker, Lana was very active in the Gladwin community. She was a member of the Wagarville United Methodist Church and Women’s group, and was currently serving as the currently serving as Gladwin Township Supervisor, beginning her term in 2005. Lana was also past chairman of the Republican Party, even being honored as Republican of the Year. She was treasurer of the Gladwin County Soil Conservation district from 1999-2007, a member of the Gladwin County Farm Bureau and also served on the committee for Farmer’s Appreciation Day.
Lana married Keith Edick Oct. 8, 1960 in Gladwin. He survives her Also surviving are her children, Brian Edick and Mary Schneider of Gladwin, Corrie and Randy Lambert of Traverse City, Julie and Steve Cameron of Gladwin, Tami and Todd Lake of Gladwin, Kristie and Brian Simrau of Gladwin, Ronda and Brian Gorski of Gladwin, and Kevin and Carrie Edick of Gladwin; 13 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Vivian Edick of Gladwin; sisters LaNeel and Wayne Vannest of Midland, and Myrna and Claude Moore of Franklin, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Randall Sheets.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 14 at First United Methodist Church of Gladwin with Pastor Linda Jo Powers and Rev. Donald Haskell officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wagarville United Methodist Church.
