Eames Cornelius
AGED 78 ANSWERS DEATH'S SUMMONS AT HOME OF EDGAR EDICK
Cornelius Eames died Aug. 17, 1910, at the home of
Edgar Edick, Gladwin township, aged 78 yearse, 2
months and 1 day, of Bright's disease. He came to the
county from Ohio five months ago to visit relatives.
His wife died 15 years ago, and one son is dead. One
son, E. J. Eames of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and one
daughter, Mrs. Davenport of Detroit, survive. Mr.
Eames was a soldier in the Civil war, serving in Co.
L, second regiment, Ohio heavy artillery, and a member
of the G.A.R.
He was an uncle of Edgar and Amos Edick. Funeral
services were held at the Ridge M. E. church;
conducted by Rev. G. B. Day. Interment in Gladwin
township cemetery.
