Walter Dunn
Walter J. Dunn, 52, of 5770 Buzzell Road, died suddenly of a heart attack
at his home Saturday, June 3. Mr. Dunn was born in Gladwin County April 24, 1920. He moved
to Arizona where he and the former Abbie Persinger were married January 23, 1946 in Florence.
The family returned to Gladwin County in 1946 where Mr. Dunn farmed.
Survivors are his wife; seven daughters, Mrs. Janice Dixon, of Calif., Mrs. Ora Jane Hooper,
of Beaverton, Mrs. Armilda R. McSteritt, of Arizona, Mrs. Nancy I. Lidster, of Estey, Sylvia M.,
Wilma J. and Abbie Diana, all at home; four sons, Charles serving with the U.S. Army in Germany,
and Daniel F., Walter J. Jr., and Tommie W., all at home; two half sisters, Mrs. Hazel Ackerson
and Mrs. Rena Bell O'Dell, both of Flint; and two half brothers, Pat Dunn, of Gladwin and
Mitchell L. Dunn of Clare.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev.
F. E. Voller officiating. Burial will be in Grout Township Cemetery.
