Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Marjorie Duncan

   Marjorie D. Duncan, 88, of Gladwin, died Dec. 30, 2004 at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center, Gladwin. She was born in Gladwin on March 27, 1916 to Ross C. and Gladys Helen (Cutter) Foutch. She married Glean D. Duncan on June 2, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant; he died in 1980. Glean had been employed by Sun Oil Company of Mt. Pleasant for 37 years. She lived in Gladwin County since 1958, having previously resided in Newaygo. She was the owner and operator of Marge’s Beauty Shop in Gladwin.

   Surviving are daughters Joan Duncan of Marquette and Brenda (David) Kelly of Gladwin; grandchildren Wendi Greer of Marquette, Jon David and Cindy Greer of Gladwin, Tracy Greer and Special Friend Bryce Gertino of Marquette, Amy and Doug Ouellette of Mt. Pleasant, Matthew Larson and fiancee Lesley Hubble of Gladwin, Kenett and Britta Kelly of Arizona, and Lisa and Matt Walker of Georgia; Great grandchildren, Natasha and Special Friend Bryan Randle, Nicole and Special Friend Sean Farling, Arik, Travis, Dilaine, Madeleine, Gabriel, Sarah, Chelsea, Sean and Kyla; her sister, Hazel Foutch of Greenville; her brother, Ross Foutch, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Guy David Duncan; granddaughter Jilaine Greer; son-in-law Gary Steinbach; brothers Earl and Grant; and sisters Doris Ellis and Beryl Taylor.

   Funeral services were Jan. 3, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Gladwin, with pastor Lynn Chappel officiating. Burial was at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to Gladwin County Council on Aging.
