Charles Duggan
RITES HELD HERE FOR FORMER RESIDENT
Charles Duggan, 64, died in Chicago after an illness of two weeks. He was born in Gladwin
County on November 2, 1892 and had lived in Chicago for 30 years, previously residing in
Detroit. Mr. Duggan was employed as a freight clerk for the Erie Railroad and was a veteran of
WWI. Surviving are one son, Paul Duggan of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers, Martin Duggan of Detroit
and Steve Duggan of Harrison and one sister, Mrs. Betty Holthous.
A Rosary was said Monday at 8 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with funeral services Tuesday at
9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Fr. George Artman officiating. Burial was in
Highland Cemetery with James McGuire, Charles Stone, Roland Wilson, William Laycock, Basile Mitchell
and George Cameron acting as pallbearers.
