MRS. OSCAR R. DOW GLADWIN PIONEER DIES


  Mrs. Oscar R. Dow, a former resident of Gladwin , died April 26, 1937, at the home of her son, Herbert L. Dow, at Bad Axe. Burial services were held at the Grout town cemetery in this county, April 28.

  Mrs. Dow was born November 27, 1848, in Maine and came with her husband to Gladwin county 70 years ago. They lived here until six years ago when they went to Bad Axe to make their home with their son, H. L. Dow. Mr. Dow died in Bad Axe three years ago.

  Surviving are her two sons, H. L. Dowe of Bad Axe, and Fred Dow of Gladwin, one daughter, Mrs. Lelia Copely of Kalmazoo, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren..
