Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

Fred F. Dow
Funeral services for Fred Fern Dow, 77, were held on Monday afternoon from
the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. William T. Elliott, of St. Paul's Episcopal church officiated
and burial was made in the Grout cemetery. Mr. Dow was born in Grout township on October 7,
1875 and was married to Mrs. Dow in Bay City. He died at Mercy Hospital in Bay City on Saturday,
after three week illness.
He was employed most of his life in highway work by the State Highway Department and the County
Road Commission. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Gilliland and Mrs. Fred Weber,
of Bay City, Mrs. William Lehecka, of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, H. L. Dow, of Plymouth; one sister,
Mrs. Lelia Copley, of Tucson, Arizona; also seven grandchildr.
