Jesse Dotson
Jesse Dotson, 61, of Tustin and formerly of Gladwin, died Friday, June 1, at
home after a short illness. Born in Lansing on January 26, 1918, he owned and operated the
Indian Lake Grocery in Gladwin for several years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a
member of the VFW in Rose City. Mr. Dotson was also active in organizing the Clement Fire
Department. Mr. Dotson was married to the former Lois Stuck on July 31, 1948, in Bay City.
Surviving besides his wife, are one stepson, William Fleming of Warren; a step-daughter, Mrs.
Ellen Caldwell of Escondido, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Able of Ithaca and Katherine Dotson
of South Lyon; 3 brothers, Ernest of Ohio, Harry of Marion and Floyd of Fenton; and 2 grandchildren.
Services were held Monday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Melvin Stauffer
officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
