Olive Dorland

   Olive Dorland, 75 of Fenton and Gladwin, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Henry Ford Hospital surrounded by family.

   Olive was born Aug. 18, 1932 in Deerfield Center, the daughter of Elroy and Anna (Richards) Warner.

   Olive loved cake decorating, caring for many flowers and plants and traveling.

   She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bruce; her daughter, Rose (Doug) Crane, son, Leo (Teresa) Doan; daughters, Ruth Dorland, Jean (Rick) Young and Joan (Tim) Salley; grandchildren, Chad Crane, Michael (Mindy) Young, Cory Crane, John (Nicole) Ekleberry, Jared Salley, Kevin Young, Eric Salley and Derek Young; two great-grandchildren, Dokoda and Kayla Young; brothers, Dale (Marilyn) Warner and Elton (Sue) Warner; brother-in-law, Paul (Sharon) Dorland, sister-in-law, Mary Henderson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin, George and Edwin Warner; father-in-law and mother- in-law, William and L. Ruth Dorland. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Lynn Chappell officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.

   Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Michigan State Fireman's Association or the Max Brandt Scholarship Fund, 9001 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
