Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Clara Doane


   MRS. JOSEPH DOANE Mrs. Joseph; Doane of Sheridan township died Monday night, Dec. 19, at the General hospital, Bay City, following an operation Dec. 12. Mrs. Doane had been ailing for several months. Clara Clarinda Rogers was born June 7, 1888, in, Sanilac county, and in her early childhood came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers, to Tobacco township. She was married to Joseph Doane at Beaverton in May, 1907, and they have since made their home in Sheridan township, except, one year when they lived at Cadillac. During her residence in Sheridan township she has served several years as clerk, treasurer and school treasurer. Surviving her are her husband, nine children, Irene, Herman, William, Esther, John, Mary, Lavere, Dale, and Alda and one sister, Mrs. Vera Glazier, of Flint. Services will be held at Edwards Free Methodist church Thursday, Dec. 22, at 2 p. m., followed by burial at Edwards cemetery.
