Dale Doan
Dale D. Doan, 81, of Gladwin passed away Nov. 1, 2007 at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre following a long illness.
He was born in Gladwin County June 26, 1926 to Joseph and Clara (Rogers) Doan.
Dale was a mail carrier for the United States Post Office. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean Conflict. He had resided in Gladwin County for 35 years, previously residing in Flint.
He is survived by his brothers, Dale, Ted, Tom, Ken and Frank Doan, all of Gladwin, Jim of Standish, and Donald of Florida; sisters, Leota and Sandra Doan, both of Florida, Idell Irwin and Joyce Thomas, both of Gladwin, and Anna Ball of Pikney; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 14 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5 at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Paul Kile officiating. He was laid to rest in Edwards Township Cemetery in West Branch.
