Robert Dixon
Specialist Robert “Bobby” J Dixon, 27, of Minneapolis, Minnesota was killed May 6, 2007 in Iraq when his humvee hit an IED. Bobby was born Dec. 30, 1979 in Portland, Oregon.
He is survived by his wife, Rusty Rose Dixon of Minneapolis; two sons, Logan and Michael Rice of Beaverton; his parents, Dan and Ilene Dixon of Gladwin; two grandmothers, Laura Spangler of Gladwin and Florence Dixon of Apple Valley, California; two brothers, David and Kanina Dixon of Harrison, and Daniel Austin Dixon and fiance' Ivette Lopez of Louisiana; sister, Gretchen and William “Billy” Lang of Beaverton; nieces and nephews, Starr Dixon and Daniel Dixon of Harrison, and Jayna Lang, Morgan Lang and Will Lang of Beaverton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A remembrance service was held Monday, May 14, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Gladwin High School Gymnasium in Gladwin, Michigan. Friends were able to call at Gladwin High School from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota Memorial Contributions are to be used according to the family or the donor's favorite charity.
