Irene Dennett

   Irene Viola (Fassett) Dennett, 64, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away Friday evening Dec. 28, 2007 at her home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.

   Irene was born on Aug. 6, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late Sherman and Cora (Ingalls) Fassett of Beaverton.

   Irene resided in Beaverton until she was graduated from high school there.

   After graduating she moved to Wichita, Kansas where she met and married her husband Duaine. They moved to Apache Junction, Arizona in 1987 where they owned and operated a water hauling business, retiring in 2006. Irene enjoyed playing cards and watching the Arizona Diamondbacks play baseball. She especially loved caring for her two grandsons.

   Irene is survived by her husband, Duaine; two children, Kirk (Tammy) Dennett of Helena, Montana, and Karen Grandlich of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Hunter and Tyler Grandlich of Mesa, Arizona. Surviving siblings are Laveta (Larry) Anderson of Apache Junction, Arizona, Dick (Mary Ann) Fassett of Beaverton, Nancy (Ken) Powers of Rogers, Arkansas, Sherm (Joanne) Fassett of Beaverton, Gordie (Gail) Fassett of Midland, Bob (Marian) Fassett of Beaverton, David (Karen) Fassett of Gladwin, Janice (Lenard) Govitz of Beaverton, and Mary Lou (Del) Voller of Apache Junction, Arizona. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, Ken (Sandra) Fassett, Betty (Jake) Mishler and Kathy Fassett, all of Beaverton. Irene also was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mariah Grandlich.

   Memorial services were held in Arizona Friday, Jan. 4, 2008.
