Virgil C. Deming
EX-RESIDENT DIES IN FLINT
Funeral services for Virgil C. Deming, 70, of Flint were held at the Dale Methodist Church, Beaverton, September 21, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. F. E. Voller officiated and burial was made in the Dale cemetery. The son of Wilbur and Anna Deming, he was born February 8, 1898. The Demings were former residents of Tobacco Township. He was a World War I veteran serving with the 125th Infantry, Co. K, and was wounded in action in France July 31, 1918. He later became a postal worker. His hobby was photography. On May 26, 1963, he was married to Fern Johnson, the former Miss Fern Miller, who survives him. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marion (Peggy) Martin, of Adrian; and one son, John of Tecumseh; three brothers, Harold and Seward of Adrian and Douglas of Chicago; and six grandchildren..
