Mrs. Fred Demaray
Succumbs Tuesday
Mrs. Fred Demaray, 48, of Grout township, died early Tuesday at the Gladwin Hospital after an illness of several months. She
was brought to the Hospital in serious condition late Monday.
Funeral services will be held at the Hall Funeral Home Thursday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. G. V. Dean of the Free Methodist
Church officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
Born in Gladwin on December 2, 1895, Vernie Iona Brown was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Rufus Brown. She was married to Fred
Demaray in Gladwin on December 12, 1915. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Cpl Ralph Demaray, who was reported missing in the Philippines two years ago; Pfc Ray Demaray with
U. S. forces in the European was zone; and Virgil Demaray of Gladwin; five daughters, Mrs. Neva Mielke, of Bentley; Virgiline
Demaray of Saginaw; Mrs Gladys Carper, of Gladwin; and Verna Mae and Rose Mary, at home; a brother, Leroy Brown, of Grand
Blanc; and a sister, Mrs Zella Coffell, of Saginaw.
