Mary Demaray
Mrs. Frank Demaray
Mrs. Frank Demaray died early Tuesday morning at her home at Beaverton, after an illness of several weeks of typhoid fever.
Mary Bollert was born at Southeast Hope, Perth county, Ontario, Jan. 21, 1895. When she was two years old her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. William F. Bollert, moved from Ontario to this county, and located on a farm south of Oberlin post office, where
they resided until they moved to Gladwin and Mr. Bollert entered the grocery business some 15 years ago. She was married to
Frank Demaray Dec. 21, 1913. Mr. and Mrs. Demaray made their home at Gladwin and for a time at Hockaday where they were in
the mercantile business. They returned to Gladwin from Hockaday and Mr. Demaray was manager of the Standard Oil station,
which position he left to enter the grocery and meat market business at Beaverton.
Mr. and Mrs. Demaray were the parents of four children, Francis, aged 13, John 10, James, who died two years ago, and
Coralee, aged 10 months.
During her residence in Gladwin Mrs. Demaray was a faithful worker in the Methodist Episcopal church. After moving to
Beaverton she joined the Presbyterian church. Her death is a great shock to her friends both at Beaverton and at Gladwin.
Besides her husband and three children she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Bollert, two brothers and five
sisters, Arthur Bollert of Lansing, Mrs. Daniel Soldan of Winegar, Mrs. L. E. Soldan of Buffalo, N. Y., Mrs. Frank Kellogg of
Indian River, Mrs. Bernard Wagoner of Ashtabula, Ohio, Mrs. Charles Secor and William J. Bollert of Gladwin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at Beaverton, conducted by Rev. A. J. Preston, followed by burial at Highland
cemetery.
