Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Henry Clay Davis

   Henry Clay Davis, 84, of 240 6th St., Harrison, passed away on April 14, 1984 at the Gladwin Area Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born on January 7, 1900 in Adams, Tennessee, the son of Edward and Annie Mae (Harrison) Davis. Mr. Davis had resided in the Harrison area for the last 25 years, moving here from Flint. Henry C. Davis was united in marriage to Velma Bailey on April 12, 1924, in Flint. Mrs. Davis preceded him in death on May 14, 1981. Mr. Davis was a life member of the Fellowship Masonic Lodge of Flint, the Bay City Scottish Rites-Grand Lodge and a Charter member of the Projectionists and Stagehands in Nashville, Tennessee.

   Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Martha Ann Wilson of Harrison; 3 grandsons, John and James Parker, both of Harrison and Alan Parker of Traverse City; 3 granddaughters, Mrs. Gregory (Diane) Wagner and Mrs. Steven (Christine) Willey, both of Houghton Lake, and Miss Karen Parker of Pontiac; 4 great grandsons; 2 great granddaughters, and 2 nieces. Two brothers preceded him in death.

   Masonic Memorial Services were held on Thursday, April 19, 1984 at 8:00 p.m. from Coker-Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with the John J. Carton Masonic Lodge officiating. Interment was in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart, Michigan.
