Garner Curtiss
Garner I. Curtiss, 78, of Gladwin passed away Nov. 20, 2006 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland after a short illness.
He was born March 29, 1928 to Eugene and Ruth (Ives) Curtiss in Torrington, Connecticut.
He was a milk hauler for HP Hood in Litchfield, Connecticut. He retired in 1990 after 30 years of employment.
Garner was a veteran of the United States Navy. He lived in Gladwin County for the past five years, having previously lived in Canaan, Connecticut.
He married Lynn Moore on Oct. 3, 1959 in Lakeville, Connecticut.
He is survived by three daughters, Sarah (James) Puzar of Beaverton, Tracey (Al) Kennard of Aston, Pennsylvania, and Abby (David) Fricia of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; five grandsons; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy French of Litchfield, Connecticut; and one nephew, Arthur French of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Curtiss, in 1983; and his parents.
