Earl Currie
SERVICES HELD FOR EARL CURRIE, 84
Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall
Funeral Home for Earl F. Currie, 84, of Gladwin
Township, who died Saturday, Nov. 6, after an illness
of one week. Born in Yale on March 1, 1881, he had
lived in Gladwin County for 70 years. He was a retired
farmer. Mr. Currie was a member of the Gladwin
I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 177. He was married to the former
Bertha Cone in Bay County on Nov. 12, 1912. She
preceded him in death on March 22, 1960.
Surviving are three sons, Frank E., of Estey,
Harris L., of Gladwin, and George R., of Detroit; five daughters, Mrs. Edith Hyer, Auburn, Mrs. Marie Parkin, Detroit; Mrs. Beatrice Mackie, of Phoniex, Ariz., Mrs. Addie C. Kinnie, of La Porte, and Mrs. Alice Franklin, of Bay City; one brother, William, of Copemish; and one sister, Bessie Bower, of Highwood; 37 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. The Rev. Ross Tracy officiated and burial was in Arbutus Cemetery..
