MRS. BERTHA CURRIE DIES SUDDENLY


  Mrs. Bertha Z. Currie, 62, died suddenly at her home in Hay Township, on Tuesday, March 22. The former Miss Bertha Cone, was born July 11, 1897, in Monroe County and married Earl F. Currie November 12, 1912. She had been a resident of Gladwin County for 50 years. Survivors include her husband, Earl; three sons, George R. of Detroit, Frank E. and Harris L. of Beaverton; five daughters, Mrs. Edith V. Hyer, of Auburn, Mrs. Beatrice L. Mackie of Copemish, Mrs. Addie C. Kinne, of LaPorte, Mrs. Marie E. Parkin, of Detroit, and Mrs. Alice B. Jean, of Bay City; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wesley, of Helena, Montana; and two brothers, Lee and William Cone, of Troy, N.Y. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Ross Tracy will officiate and burial will be in Arbutus cemetery..
