Edward F. Cruickshank
FORMER BEAVERTON RESIDENT DIES
Edward F. Cruickshank, 77, 112 W. Indian St., Midland, and formerly of Beaverton, died Sunday in Midland Hospital after a two-week illness. Born on August 7, 1883, in Toronto, Canada, he was married there to the former Clara Ellicot on April 22, 1904. He operated a bakery in Gladwin and Beaverton from 1929 to 1934 and had lived in Midland for the past 15 years, where he worked for the Austin Construction Co. His wife preceded him in death in 1954.
Surviving are a son, Frank, of Gladwin; four daughters, Mrs. Berniece Purdy, of Toronto, Mrs. Thelma Lang, of Oshawa, Can., Mrs. Doris Dundas, of Midland and Mrs. Helen Levely of Hope; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Rushby, Mrs. Ethel Hunniford, and Mrs. Margaret Hewitson, all of Toronto; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at the Miner Chapel. The Rev. Ross E. Tracy will officiate and burial is in Beaverton Cemetery. .
