Herbert Crook
SERVICES FRIDAY FOR HERBERT CROOK
Herbret J. Crook, 73, of Hay Township, died Tuesday, April 15, in the Gladwin Hospital after
a short illness. Born in Speaker on August 17, 1895, he came to Gladwin County six years ago from
Berkley. Mr. Crook was a veteran of World War I. He was married to the former Lottie Campbell on
May 26, 1951, in Royal Oak. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Elmer, of Speaker, Dr.
Norris, of Slippery Rock, Pa., Victor, of Gladwin, and Frank, of Merritt, Fla.; five daughters, Mrs.
Rachel Traver, of Cleveland, O., Mrs. Virginia Pietryzk, of Warren, Mrs. Emma Young, of Berkley, Mrs.
F. B. Femmer, of St. Louis Mo., and Mrs. Margaret Westfall, of Troy; two brothers, George, of Flint
and Harry, of Hollywood, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Epsey, of Peck, and Mrs. Alice Forbs, of
Sea Island, Ga.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. M. R. Purnam will
officiate and burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.
