Phillip Crockett
SERVICES HELD FOR P. G. CROCKETT
Phillip Gyra Crockett, 67, of Beaverton township, died Friday following an illness of three days. The son of Levi and Evelyn
Crockett, he was born May 20, 1889 at Ogden Center, Lenawee County. He came to Gladwin County 48 years ago and was a
well-known farmer and stockman. He married Miss Bertha Rise December 23, 1911 at Beaverton.
Surviving are his wife; seven sons Jacob, Roger, Homer and Paul of Beaverton, Albert of Chelsa, Marion of Grove City, Calif.,
and Floyd of Midland; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Balmer of Chelsea and Mrs. Viola Roberts of Beaverton; and 21 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of the Bretheren with the Rev. Earl Atkinson
officiating. Burial was made in the Dale cemetery. His sons served as pallbearers.
