Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Bertha V. Crockett

   Bertha V. Crockett, 84, of Beaverton, died Sunday, Jan. 18, in the Midland Hospital following a long illness. Born in Allen County, Ohio, on September 20, 1891, she had lived in Gladwin County for the past 65 years. The former Bertha Rise, she was married to P. Grya Crockett on December 23, 1911, in Gladwin County. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1956.

   Surviving are six sons, Jacob of Coleman, Marion of Riverside, Calif., Floyd of Midland. Homer, Roger and Paul of Beaverton; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Balmer of Grass Lake and Mrs. Carl (Viola) Roberts of Beaverton; two brothers, Ralph Rise of Florida and Fred Rise of California; one sister, Mrs. Ethel McMahon of California; 30 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

   Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton. The Rev. Henry List will officiate and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
