George Crawford
ILLNESS FATAL TO GEORGE CRAWFORD
George W. Crawford, 80, a resident of Tobacco township for the past 60 years, died at his home after an illness of seven months. He was born in Washtenaw county on August 21, 1876, the son of George and Elizabeth Crawford. Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the Spanish American War and a life member of the Beaverton F. & A.M. On October 5, 1883, he was married to Miss Jennie Graham, who survives him, as do three sons, Harold of Beaverton, Floyd of Sanford and William of Gladwin; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Zimmer and Mrs. Muriel Houghtaling of Midland and Mrs. Lola King of Beaverton; 16 grandchildren; and one brother, William, of Beaverton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home under the auspices of the Beaverton F. & A.M. The Rev. Arthur Whisler will officiate and burial will be in the Beaverton cemetery.
