Perry Cowell
Illness Fatal to Perry Cowell
Perry M. Cowell, 69, of Clare, and formerly of Beaverton, died Wednesday, June 7, at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, after an
illness of three months. Born May 4, 1892, Ogden Center, Lenawee County, he moved to Tobacco Township in 1910, and to Clare
six years ago. He was a field man for Kraft Food Co. for 17 years. In 1912, he was married to the former Mamie L. Mercer in
Beaverton. He was a member of the Clare Methodist Church, of Riverside Grange and the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Clare.
Surviving besides his widow are a daughter. Mrs. Charles Schreiber, of Freeland; a brother, Ray, of Gladwin, and two
grand-children. A daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of
the Brethren with Rev. Arthur Whisler and Rev. D.R. Salisbury of Clare officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
