John Councell
SERVICES FRIDAY FOR JOHN COUNCELL
John Albert Councell, 73, who passed away at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital on Tuesday
evening, October 10, will be buried in Highland cemetery, following services on Friday at 2
o'clock from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Schmidt, from the Gladwin Free Methodist
church, will officiate. Mr. Councell was born on March 12, 1877, in Cumberland, Indiana, served
in the Spanish-American War. He has been making his home with his brother, George Councell,
in Grout.
Surviving are two brothers, George, of Grout and Frank, of Utica, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Fannie
Carmin, of Hartford City, Indiana; also one foster-daughter, Grace Councell of Detroit.
