Robert Cottrell
Robert G. Cottrell, 72, of Gladwin and formerly of Saginaw, died Monday, Dec. 17, 1990, in Midland after a long illness. Born
in Saginaw, March 4, 1918, he was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 33 years until retiring in 1974. Mr. Cottrell was
married to the former Betty Hasell and she preceded him in death in 1970. He then married Delores Bundshuh Short. Dec. 11,
1971.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Robert of Merrill and Michael of Saginaw; 3 step-sons, William Short of Sanford,
Terry Short of Saginaw and Michael Short of Maryland; one step-daughter, Barbara Aguilar of Bay City; 3 sisters, Ilene
Manial, Frances Roberts and Pub Neuwirth and 2 brother, Richard and Harold. A step-daughter, Catherine Hartlieb, preceded him
in death in 1986.
Rites were held Thursday at noon from the W.L. Case Funeral Home, Saginaw. The Rev. Thomas Cundiff officiated and burial was
in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.
