James Cottrell

SERVICES THURSDAY FOR JAMES COTTRELL

   Funeral services for James Noble Cottrell, 58, will be held on Thursday afternoon, August 7, at 2 o'clock at the Beavertn Presbyterian church. A short prayer service will take place at 1 o'clock at the home in Beaverton. The Rev. John K. Osborne, of Mt. Pleasant will officiate with burial in the Dale cemetery. Mr. Cottrell, a resident of Beaverton for the past 50 years, was born in Lyons, Ohio on May 25, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Manley Cottrell. On July 18, 1910 he was married to Miss Della Oliver, in Beaverton. He died at his home on Tuesday after an illness of several years.

   Surviving are his wife, Della; five daughters, Mrs. Ols Hildenbrand; of Detroit, Mrs. Muriel Sampson, Mrs. Helen Methner, Mrs. Marian Snyder and Mrs. Margaret Woodruff, of of Beaverton; one brother, Jacob M. Cottrell of Pontiac; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Ankney of Lansing and Mrs. Gladwys Boone of Detroit; also nine grandchildren.
