Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Archie Corlew

   Archie Lester Corlew, 81, of Gladwin passed away March 10, 2008 at Masonic Pathway Retirement Community in Alma surrounded by his loving family.

   He was born in Gladwin on May 27, 1926 to Jule and Anne (Major) Corlew.

   He was employed as an oiler for 28.5 years for General Motors, Buick Motor Division in Flint, retiring in 1976.

   He has lived in Gladwin County for three years, previously residing in Mt. Morris. He was a member of Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge 535.

   Archie married Yulah Arlene Fiser on July 30, 1945 in Gladwin.

   She preceded him in death in 2004. He is survived by his sons, Ed (Jan) Corlew and Glenn (Louise) Corlew, both of Gladwin, Denny (Marianne) Corlew and Jerry (Ila) Corlew both of Mt. Morris; daughter, Brenda (Dale) Allen of Millington; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother, John Corlew of Gladwin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yulah; parents; three brothers; and six sisters.

   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Phil Hortop officiating.

   Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 12-9 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Butman Cemetery in Gladwin.
