Viola Corbett
Viola Mae Corbett, 83, of Beaverton died June 12, 2005 at Tender Care Nursing Home in Clare after a long illness. She was born Oct. 30, 1921 in Gladwin to Howard and Frieda (Dunning) Wesley. She was a clerk for 29 years for Rexall Drugs and did janitorial work for 13 years for Beaverton Rural Schools. She also worked for Hall Funeral Home for 14 years.
She lived in Gladwin County most of her life. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, and served as a deacon for several years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars for 37 years and of V.F.W. Auxiliary 7303.
Surviving her are her daughter, Malene (Gordon) LeVee of Ludington; her son, Gary (Dee) Corbett of Gladwin; her brother, Donald Wesley of Bay City; her sister, Bessie Burk of Alliance, Ohio; two grandchildren, Greg (Rachel) LeVee of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Liz (Eric) Gross of Ludington; five Great grandchildren, Jessica, Josh, Austin, and Alyssa of Ludington, and Angela of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14 at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton, with Elder Thomas Rodabaugh officiating. Burial was in Beaverton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Order of Eastern Stars, Beaverton.
